ORANGE, BEACH, Ala. - Our 4th Annual Pink Heals Event will be Oct. 5. We are teaming up with Joy to Life to FIGHT THE FIGHT!, in the first PINK EVENT. Organizers plan to make it an annual event.
All fire apparatus should be lined up at the Wharf parking lot by 8:15 a.m. The Parade will begin at 9 a.m. and travel down Main Street, turn left and continue past the Orange Beach Event Center.
It will then turn left again onto Canal Road and continue to the Orange Beach Recreation Center. It will end there and parking will be designated to one area for pictures, and exhibit to the public-or they can turn back onto Wilson Boulevard to return back to their cities if they do not wish to attend the Event.
The associated Zumbathon is $10 entry fee and will begin immediately after the parade ends.These monies will aid Joy to Life Foundation.
All other presentations and games are free. Shirts, coins, cups, and other items will be available for purchase. All of the LAC of Pink Heals-Guardians of the Ribbon donations will go to local individuals battling cancer.
During the Zumbathon, those wishing NOT to participate can enjoy Healthcare related speeches, demonstrations, and information on prevention, treatments, and health and other wellness topics related to cancers.
There will also be kids games and events, prizes, raffle, silent auctions, and vendors present to sell items, and offer services such as pink hair extensions, face painting, and general information.
The event will end approximately 12:30-1 p.m. and snacks will be available.
