It was a special Pi Day Celebration in Shannon Stanton’s fifth grade class at Stapleton. Pi Day is celebrated by those who love math around the world on March 14th. Pi actually stands for 3.1415926535 and is a Greek letter (). The symbol is the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. In class students made circle graphs of the kinds of PIE that they like. Their treat to celebrate this special day was an oatmeal crème pie which is also a circle.
