Otis Phillips Jr., 76, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009 in Uriah.
He was a native of Little River and a resident of Uriah for the past 46 years. He was a truck driver, a construction worker and attended the Mineola Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Lane Phillips and Wendell Phillips.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Frances Phillips of Uriah; daughter, Charlotte (Jerry) Hadley of Atlanta; and four grandchildren, J.P. Hadley, Kaitlin Hadley, Dalton Phillips and Tanner Phillips.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Mineola Baptist Church with the Rev. Marlon Brown and the Rev. Bob McKenzie officiating. Burial will follow at Mineola Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Arnold Turberville, Wesley Turberville, Bill Phillips, Rufus Williams, Ricky Turberville, Greg McGhee, Benji Turberville and Jonathan Turberville.
