Clarence G. “Buddy” Phillips, 77, a native of Baldwin County and a resident of Loxley, died Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenwood Wilson Phillips and Annie Lee Devine Phillips, and brother, Glen Ard.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Phillips of Loxley; three daughters, Diane Shelton of Odessa, Texas, Faith Quinley of Loxley and Hope Bounds of Chickasaw; two sons, Ricky Phillips of Summerdale and Sonny Buettner of Orlando, Fla.; four sisters, Connie Sweeney of Robertsdale, Cozette Phillips, Norma Hinote and Peggy Phillips, all of Loxley; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7 at Hinote Cemetery in the Styx River Community with the Rev. Aubrey Roland officiating.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Wings of Eagles International Inc., P.O. Box 92824, Lakeland, FL 33804-2824.
