Philip Edmond Richmond Jr., age 86, a resident of Fairhope, Ala., passed away Sunday, Aug. 9, 2015.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of 20 years, where he traveled the world. His career was in waste management for 30 years. Philip was a member of SWANA and Fleet Reserve Association.
He was loved by many, and was never at a loss for words.
He is survived by his wife, Irma Richmond of Fairhope; sons, Philip Richmond and Don Richmond; daughter, Terry (Michael) Richmond Lowell; grandchildren, Mary Kay, Rick, John Richmond, Leah Lanier, Todd, Matthew Richmond, Cody, Sean and Blair Lowell; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Richmond (Mimi) and Don Richmond (Kathy).
A celebration of Philip’s life will be held Thursday, Aug. 13, 2015 at Fairhope United Methodist Church, beginning at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Covenant Hospice and/or Wounded Warrior Project.
