Donald “Don” Perkins, 72, a resident of Spanish Fort, died Wednesday, May 28, 2008.
He retired from International Paper Company in 1997 after 42 years of service.
His love of life was evident by his ready smile, his pleasure in fishing and his love of music.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Maxine Baggett Perkins; daughter, Donette (Matthew) Pelletier of Easley, SC.; one grandson, Andrew Donald of Easley, SC.; brother, Clifford Perkins of Satsuma; one sister, Eulene Neely of Chickasaw; nieces, nephews, in-laws and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. at Baggett Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Castleberry with Pastor Thomas Smith officiating.
