DAPHNE, Ala.— The Bay Rivers Art Guild will host a series of performing-arts classes, taught by director Martha Lynch beginning July 11.

The classes will be held at Daphne Elementary School July 11-15, 18-22 and 25-29.

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Lynch will teach children aged 7 and 7 the basics of show business. The classes are designed to help students gain confidence and “think outside the box,” through theater warm-ups, games and improvisation exercises. At the end of each week, the students will perform in a production.

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Lynch will teach children ages 8 and up. The classes will be designed to allow students to use their imagination and express themselves on stage. Lynch will again use theater warm-ups, games and improvisation exercises. At the end of each week, the students will perform in a production.

The fee for each course is $50. The Bay Rivers Art Guild is located at 1704 Sixth St.
