PERDIDO KEY, FL - The sixth annual Perdido Key Wine & Art Festival will be at VillagioTownCenter (13700 Perdido Key Drive) on April 2-5.
The festival has been extended from its original two-day length to a four-day experience. Throughout the event, guests will have the chance to taste a variety of wines from different regions, including the U.S., Europe and South America.
“We will feature a different region daily so guests will have an opportunity to sample two dozen wines during course of the festival,” event coordinator Lori Raisch said. “On Easter Sunday visitors can explore on their own and experience all that the Perdido Key area has to offer, including our beautiful beaches and delicious dining options at local restaurants.”
The first night of the festival, Thursday, April 2, will be the “Taste of Perdido” for those wishing to enjoy a signature dish from local restaurants paired with an ideal wine.Tickets for Thursday will be $25 per person or $45 per couple from 5:30-8:30 pm.
Jazz guitarist Pat McCann will be the featured performer, and Connie Blum will be the featured artist. Blum’s artistic mediums are one-of-a-kind glass, mosaic and jewelry pieces. Tickets for this evening must be purchased in advance at the Visitors Information Center.
Tickets for Friday and Saturday’s tastings are available at the Visitors Center or at the festival for $15, which includes a collectible wine glass and five tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets will be available for $2, and all wines poured will be available for purchase by the bottle or case.
Guests will be able to taste eight new and different wines daily – four red and four white. Friday’s tasting will be from 2-6 p.m. On Saturday from noon-6 p.m., visitors can also shop local vendors, including arts, crafts, food and much more. Both days will feature live music.
