The Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation (JCMF) is thanking Perdido Beach Resort and its sponsors after this year’s Perdido Beach Resort Half Marathon, 5K and Fun Run raised $10,467 for the organization’s youth mental health programs.
The donation brings the total amount raised through the annual race weekend to $39,518.77 since the event launched in 2024, according to a news release from the JCMF.
Held March 6 and 7, 2026, the race weekend drew participants to Orange Beach for events along the beachfront roadway, including a route across the Perdido Pass Bridge. Runners took part in the half marathon, 5K and “1 Moore Mile Fun Run” before gathering for the “Bubbles on the Beach” post-race celebration.
The Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation, a nonprofit established in memory of Jennifer Claire Moore, a 16-year-old high school student who died by suicide in 1997, provides programs and resources focused on the social and emotional well-being of youth across Baldwin County.
According to the release, the money raised through the marathon supports services designed to help young people build hope and resilience.
The organization also recognized Perdido Beach Resort and participating sponsors for their continued investment in local youth and the community.
“The Foundation wishes to thank everyone who participated in creating these ‘waves of change,’ and we look forward to continuing this positive impact together,” the JCMF said in the release.
