Peggy Jean Sprayberry Rogers, 74, a resident of Morton, Miss., died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at home.
Mrs. Rogers was a native of Scott County. She was the daughter of Roy Blissett and Lottie Mae Hall Blissett. She was married to Sam Rogers. She worked for the state of Mississippi for 21 years.
Mrs. Rogers was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Alabama. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Morton.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death her parents, Roy Blissett and Lottie Mae Hall Blissett; and her first husband, Everett James Sprayberry.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband, Sam Rogers; sons, James Todd (Sandy) Sprayberry and Timothy Roy (Mollie) Sprayberry; stepchildren, Kenny (Wendy Authur) Rogers and LaNora Rogers (Jimmy Ray) Moulds; brother, Roy (Linda) Blissett Jr.; three grandchildren, James Sprayberry, Gregory Sprayberry and Amy Buckman; five great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; many cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, with burial in the Morton Memorial Gardens. Rev. J.B. Miller officiated.
Serving as pallbearers were Jimmy Ray Moulds, Patrick Bliss, Nick Buckman, Wesley Crawford and Robert King.
