Marie Angel Jackson Peavy, 86, of Weaverville, N.C., died Monday, June 29, 2009 at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C.
She lived in Elberta with her husband J.C. Peevy for a numbber of years before moving to North Carolina. While living in Elberta she was a member of Josephine Baptist Church where she was very active.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Marie Peevy of Weaverville; son, Jefferson C. Peevy Jr. of Weaverville; sister, Emogene Lee of Seminary, Miss.; brother, Howard O. Jackson of Hattiesburg, Miss.’ three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 2 at Pine Rest Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 3 from the funeral home. Interment will be held at 1 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Baldwin County Boys Ranch, John B. Foley Unit, P.O. Box 157, Summerdale, AL 36580-157.
