Tomie Wayne Peavy, 62, a native of Taylor, Ark., and a resident of the Fairhope area for eight years, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007 at a local healthcare facility after a brief illness.
He retired as a sergeant first class after 20 years of service with the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Peavy of Fairhope; daughter, Janell Sue Peavy of Louisville, Ky.; son, John Chrles Peavy of Bedford, Ky.; sister, Deborah Wynne of Springhill, Ark.; one granddaughter, other relatives and friends.
Graveside services and burial with full military honors will be held at 1:15 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla.
Arrangements are by Hughes Cremation & Funeral Service of Daphne.
