Paul N. Edhegard, 82, a native and resident of Silverhill, passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015.
Mr. Edhegard was retired from the United States Air Force.
He attended broadcasting college in Atlanta, returning to Foley to begin the Trading Post at WHEP in Foley in the early 1970s. Mr. Edhegard was also a managing editor for The Independent newspaper during this time.
He had also retired from the city of Robertsdale, where he served as the superintendant of utilities.
He is survived by two sons, Kim David Edhegard of Ozark and Paul Alan Edhegard of Silverhill; two sisters, Tina Lyrene and Margaret Stephens, both of Silverhill; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at 2 p.m., at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale, with burial in Silverhill Cemetery.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, from 1-2 p.m., at Mack Funeral Home.
