Paul David “Pete” Penry Sr., 70, passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013.
Pete was an active and devoted member of Belforest Christian Church. He proudly served 31 years in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, and retired from Chevron U.S.A.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marion M. Penry; his son, Jason; his father, Fredrick Penry; and brother, Leonard Penry.
Pete is survived by his wife, Betty Byrd Penry; children, Daphne Penry (Charlie) Willcox of Montgomery, Stephnie Penry Merchant of Spanish Fort, Paul David (Denise) Penry Jr. of Silverhill and Jennifer Penry (Mike) Romano of Moody, Ala.; brothers, Fredrick L. Penry of Daphne, Daniel W. Penry of Grand Junction, Colo., James D. Penry and Jonathon Thomas Penry, both of Fairhope; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, at 11 a.m., at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne, with the Rev. John Peterson officiating.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
Interment will follow at Belforest Community Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Belforest Christian Church.
