Paul Darron Wood, 80, a native of Mobile and a resident of Battles Wharf, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013.
Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his parents, John Woodson Wood Jr. and Carmela Brincat Wood; brother, John Woodson Wood III; and sisters, Carmela Marie Wood and Dorothy Angela Wood.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy M. Wood of Battles Wharf; son, Paul Darron (Marilyn) Wood Jr. of Mobile; daughter, Sheila Wood (Ned) Egbert of Daphne; grandchildren, Paul Darron Wood III, Theresa Jill Wood, Elizabeth Bailey Wood, Stephen McDonough Wood, all of Mobile and Christina Kay Egbert of Daphne; sister, Gloria Wood Silvernail of Mobile; nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
A memorial mass will be held from St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Fairhope on Saturday, July 20, 2013, at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10 until the service time.
Private graveside services will be held in Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Darron Wood III, Stephen Wood, Rhea Silvernail, Patrick Silvernail, Woodson Wood, David Wood, Keith Myers and Michael Myers.
