Johnnie Patterson, 76, died Friday, April 20, 2007 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force having served from 1951 to 1971 as a tech sergeant. He served during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Rosinton. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Robertsdale and the American Legion in Spanish Fort.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Early and Bessie Cobb Patterson, brothers, Ernest, Elwood, Leslie, Clarence and Tom Patterson, and and infant son, Danny Patterson.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Patterson of Robertsdale; daughter, Marilyn (Billy) Crawford of Wilcox; two sons, Robert (Ana) Patterson of Jemez Springs, N.M., and Jimmy (Elaine) Patterson of Elsanor; 10 grandchildren, Johnnie, Adam, Maureen, Patterson, Brandon, Alicia and Amanda Crawford, Jennifer Harris, Iesha Odom, Starla Moseley and Michael Patterson; eight great-granchildren, three brothers, Clifton and Earl Patterson, both of Pensacola, Fla., and Walter Patterson of Loxley; sister, Catherine Parker of Wilcox; many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 24 from the chapel of Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley with the Rev. Wes Enfinger and the Rev. William Stallworth officiating. Visitation was held Monday, April 23 at the funeral home.

Arrangements were made by Pine Rest Funeral Home Inc., Foley.
