Parents and children worked together to create their own concrete stepping stones during Saturday’s Family DIY at the Orange Beach Public Library.

Children were able to show off their math skills while measuring proportions of quick setting concrete and water while parents helped with heavy mixing.?

The library’s Family DIY provides all ages from 5 to 95 an opportunity to learn Do It Yourself (DIY) skills through craft, art and science projects. This program is funded by a Library Science and Technology Act grant from the Alabama Public Library Service.

On Aug. 21, the library will have a DYI Volcano Program.
