GULF SHORES, Ala. — Are you a parent? Do you need help with your parenting skills?

Help for parents is coming to the island.

Cos Davis, Ed. D, works as a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Therapist in Franklin, Tenn. and will be in Gulf Shores on Sunday to present his Parenting With A Purpose seminar.

Some of the things Davis talks about in his conferences are topics such as “Do you want to succeed as a parent” and “Where do you start and what are the things you need to do to insure success?”

Cos, who has been married for forty years and has two children and four grandchildren, has authored several books including Children and the Christian Faith, and has led conferences throughout the U.S.  

The conference is based on Cos’ recently published book Parenting with a Purpose and is based on the biblical teaching that God has a purpose for you and the life of your child.

“If you know and understand that purpose, your parenting can be directed toward accomplishing that purpose,” says Cos.

Cos says that by attending this conference you will be able to answer the following questions about parenting: 1. How do I know I’ve been successful? 2. What is the purpose of life? 3. Where do I begin? 4. What are the most essential issues in parenting?

Parenting With a Purpose conferences are highly informative, fast-paced and filled with practical help for the everyday demands of parenting.

The seminar will be held Sunday from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Oyster Bay Baptist Church. There is no cost for the conference and child care will be provided.
