LOXLEY, Ala. — The Bayshore Eagles (7-0) broke away from a 2-2 game with a 3-run third and went on to defeat Central Christian’s Saints 8-3 in Panhandle Christian West Division play at Loxley Municipal Park Monday.

Bryant Brock and Hunter Hardy scored on a two-run single by Will Stephens who drove in three runs with two hits on the day. Sam Malone had 2 RBIs and scored one run. Fletcher Williams had a hit and an RBI. Iain Rhodes added a hit. Miles Thomas had 2 stolen bases, a hit and scored twice.

Charlie Brock picked up the win behind some timely hitting and base running by his teammates. He struck out five, walked none and scattered seven hits with three runs over seven innings.

The Central Christian Saints took the early 1-0 lead in the top of the first when Conner Ramsey singled, stole second and later scored. Ramsey and Jonathan Doggett each finished with two hits and a sacrifice. Ramsey added an RBI. Jacob Clabo, Austin Gross and David Sullivan each added a hit for Central. Sullivan scored twice. Caleb Fuller allowed six hits, struck out 8 and walked 4 for the Saints.

Bayshore travels to Escambia Academy for a DH Monday March 28 at 3 p.m. and will host East Hill Christian Monday, April 4 at 5 p.m.
