Dorothy Brodbeck Pacey, 88, a native of Mobile and lifelong resident of Point Clear, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at Carroll Place, Fairhope, after a lengthy battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
She graduated from the University of Alabama in 1942 with a B.S. in Home Economics. She was the founder and owner of Punta Clara Kitchen, Point Clear, AL, established in 1952. She was also a charter member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fairhope, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul G. Pacey, Sr.
Survivors include two sons, Paul G. (Susan) Pacey II of Point Clear and David M. (Helen) Pacey of Robertsdale; daughter, Susan P. Harvison of Fairhope; two brothers, Arnold M. (Betty) Brodbeck Jr. of Fairhope and John E. (Ruth Ann) Brodbeck of Point Clear; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 23 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, in Fairhope.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. with funeral services at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Fairhope. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.
