Curtis Woodrow Owens, 95, a native of Crenshaw County and a resident of Fairhope since 1941, died Thursday July 30, 2009.
He worked at Auburn University Gulf Sub Station over the dairy for 38 years, retiring in 1979.
He was preceded in death by three sons, Toppy, Bobby and Butch Owens, and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Buna W. Owens of Fairhope; daughter, Belinda Owens Douglas of Fairhope; brothers, Q.E. Owens of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Neal Owens of Montgomery; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Fairhope. Visitation was held Sunday, Aug. 3 at the funeral home.
