FOLEY – Recently chosen as Alabama’s top entertainment attraction, OWA will collaborate with one of the state’s top rated haunted houses, Fairhope’s Nightmare Chambers, to create a new Halloween destination, OWA’s Town of Terror.
“For more than 10 years, Nightmare Chambers has consistently ranked as one of Alabama’s best haunted houses proving they are a natural fit to align their expertise in developing OWA’s Town of Terror,” said Greg Rawls, Director of Business Development for OWA’s parent company Creek Indian Enterprises. “This is just the start of our planned Halloween program. Over the next couple of years, we will continue to add multiple haunted attractions and even more Halloween activities. OWA will become a must-visit fall destination for fall family fun.”
OWA’s Town of Terror officially opens to the public Friday, October 6. General operating hours for the haunted attraction are Fridays-Saturdays from 6 p.m.-midnight, and Thursdays and Sundays from 6-9 p.m. Group specials are available throughout the month of October. Go to VisitOWA.com for details.
OWA’s Town of Terror will be the largest haunted house in the area. It will also be the only attraction on the Gulf Coast to incorporate ticketing options for an amusement park and haunted experience, allowing guests daytime thrills and nighttime chills.
For those looking at a more “non-scary” approach to celebrating fall, the amusement park will have a variety of family friendly activities such as complimentary pumpkin painting, a scavenger hunt and trick or treating located in special kid friendly zones. All the amusement park activities are included in The Park at OWA’s daily admission. Go to VisitOWA.com for details.
“OWA continues to focus on creating a world-class entertainment destination. We are constantly seeking unique ways to enhance our entertainment lineup. Not only are we excited to offer a great Halloween themed amusement park attraction, but now we have the opportunity to add OWA’s Town of Terror to this fun October’s schedule,” said Kristin Hellmich, OWA’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations. “Guests who visit in October will realize quickly that screams are not just for the roller coasters.”
Pre-sale tickets will be available for purchase beginning Friday, Sept 29 at 10:00 a.m. For full event information or to purchase tickets, please go to VisitOWA.com/Explore/Events/TownOfTerror.
