Ovid Woodrow “Woody” Blair, Jr.,65, born in Mobile, Alabama at Mobile Infirmary, and a lifelong resident of Spanish Fort, Alabama, passed away on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021.

Woody was saved at a very early age and was faithful to serve his Lord and Savior. He and his family are members of Loxley Church of God. He was loved by all and was our precious angel to us here on this earth.

He united in marriage to the love of his life, Teresa Harvill on Apr. 7, 1979. To this union two sons were born: Jeremy Ovid (Jenny) Blair of Melbourne, Florida, and Joshua “Josh” Ryan Blair of Spanish Fort, Alabama. Additional survivors include two granddaughters, Novalee and Rosalie Blair of Melbourne, Florida; parents, Glen and Joyce Freeman; siblings, Randy (Kathy) Goodwin and Reverend Michael (Marilyn) Goodwin of Campsbellville, Kentucky; many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ovid W. Blair, Sr.

A visitation in honor of Woody was held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Daphne chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021. Funeral services were held at the same location on Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, at 11 a.m. 

Interment will follow in Holly Hills Cemetery, Bay Minette, Alabama.
