The wildly popular Travel Channel series Man vs. Food made a stop at the Original Oyster House recently. Adam Richman, host of the show wanted to showcase the Gulf Coast area specifically Gulf Shores, to highlight the recovery of our area after the devastating oil spill last year.

Adam and his crew set up camp at the Original Oyster House recently to tape an episode of Man vs. Food to air sometime this summer. The new season begins June 1.

He and Oyster House chefs cooked dish after dish in the kitchen and ate like there was no tomorrow. He sampled our world famous Fisherman’s Pride platter (on the menu since we opened our doors in 1983) gumbo, cheese grits, turnip greens, Bourbon glazed Ahi tuna, shrimp scampi, oysters, stuffed crab and fried crawfish tails. For dessert, you guessed it: key lime pie and chocolate chip peanut butter pie made fresh daily.
