Orange Beach tight end/defensive end Lee Steele and Bayside Academy kicker Carson Kohn each earned awards from the 68 Ventures Bowl and the 1st and 10 Club on Monday in Mobile.
Steele earned the overall 'Athlete of the Month' honor, while Kohn took home the 'Special Teams Player of the Month' award.
The players, their families and some of their coaches were in attendance for the event put on by the 1st and 10 Club, with Auburn head football coach Alex Golesh being featured as a keynote speaker.
Up to this point in the season, Steele has hauled in 13 passes for 154 receiving yards and a touchdown, all while he's racked 31 total tackles, five sacks and a pair of pass breakups up on the other side of the ball
In addition, Kohn just started kicking in 2025 but has already become one of the standout legs in the state. The junior is 43-for-44 on extra-point attempts in his career, which ranks him top 10 in state history for total makes. He also leads Alabama in kickoff yardage thus far this year.
