The Orange Beach Garden Club will host its 37th-annual Game Day fundraiser on Feb. 12 at the Orange Beach Event Center at The Wharf.
The event is set to open at 9:30 a.m. with a salad buffet luncheon followed by games starting at 10 a.m. The theme of this year's event is "Let Us Tell You 'Bout The Birds and the Bees."
Co-chaired by Annette Mitchell and Yo Johnson, the Game Day Committee has worked to ensure attendees will have a variety of games to enjoy. From card games to dominoes and other tabletop favorites, there's something for everyone. Participants are encouraged to bring their favorite games and friends or come alone and make new connections.
Tickets are $35 and must be purchased in advance. They are available at two locations: the Orange Beach Senior Adult Center on Canal Road and The Emporium in the Orange Beach Rouses shopping center on Perdido Beach Boulevard. The ticket price includes lunch, and attendees will have a chance to win door prizes. Raffle tickets for the event will also be available for purchase at the door, with 22 gift baskets up for grabs.
All proceeds will benefit the Orange Beach Garden Club's community initiatives, including Arbor Day celebrations, scholarships for local students and the Butterfly Garden along the Hugh Branyon Trail. The club is also known for organizing the "Light Up Orange Beach Christmas" decoration contest in addition to other horticultural and community outreach initiatives.
Member meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month for lunch and a program. Interested individuals can reach out via the club's Facebook page for more information.
