Once Upon a Time Bridal Show to bring romance, resources to Gulf Coast couples

A wedding showcase designed to feel like the start of a love story rather than a traditional expo is set to return to downtown Mobile this spring.

NOW Weddings Magazine will host its signature Once Upon a Time Bridal Show on Sunday, April 26, from 2:30 to 5 p.m. inside the Moonlight Ballroom at the historic Battle House Hotel & Spa, 26 N. Royal Street. The event invites engaged couples, along with friends and family, to explore a curated experience inspired by Southern elegance and timeless romance, a news release said.

The afternoon gathering will connect attendees with top wedding professionals from across the Gulf Coast, offering everything from early planning inspiration to final details. Guests can sample food and desserts, view the latest bridal fashion trends and enter prize giveaways, including a grand prize of seven-night honeymoon resort accommodations.

Organizers say the event is designed to be both interactive and celebratory, blending planning resources with entertainment. The first 100 brides will receive a swag bag that includes the Spring 2026 print edition of NOW Weddings.

“Giving back to the community has always been a core value for us. With 1 in 4 Alabamians facing food insecurity, we knew we wanted to use this event as a way to help. That’s why we’ve chosen to donate 20% of every ticket sold to support Prodisee Pantry’s mission to feed local families and provide hope through healthy food access,” Jessica Burke, Owner & Publisher of NOW Weddings Magazine, said in the release.

A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Prodisee Pantry, a nonprofit hunger relief organization serving Baldwin County and the Eastern Shore. The organization provided food and support to more than 10,000 families in 2024, addressing a growing need as 25% of Alabamians face food insecurity.

Tickets must be purchased online at https://events.humanitix.com/once-upon-a-time-a-bridal-show. General admission runs for $25 plus fees, while day-of admission on April 26 is $30 plus fees.

Parking options include free metered street parking on weekends, limited hotel valet service for $18 plus tax and self-parking at the Water Street garage with hourly rates ranging from $4 to $12.
