Alabama arts destinations and events are featured in a new arts book by Karyn Zweifel produced in cooperation with the Alabama Bureau of Tourism & Travel.

Alabama Arts is the official book for state tourism’s promotion of the Year of Alabama Arts.

The colorful 128 page book is based on the popular “Must-See Arts Destinations in Alabama” brochure and emphasizes places where travelers can see paintings, sculpture, live theater, music, dance and working artists.

Arts destinations are profiled by geographic region beginning in north Alabama and ending along the Gulf Coast. The book features over 280 destinations in more than 65 different cities. Special sections in the book are devoted to architecture, festivals, the performing arts, literature and native Alabama artists.

Alabama Arts is available at local bookstores and Barnes & Noble locations across the state.

For more information on the Year of Alabama Arts, contact the Alabama Bureau of Tourism & Travel at (800) ALABAMA or go online at www.800alabama.com.
