Congratulations to Matt Fetner for finishing Banking School.  Salon Paradise opened next to Grape Escape on Loop Road.  This is a new salon, but owners Shell Wright and Julie Racine, with chair operators Candice and Charlene, are not rookies in this business.  So check out their new place.

Alabama Gulf Coast Chamber has an invitation drive running through August 22nd.  Is your business, church or non-profit a member of the chamber?  Our chamber allows everyone to unite in providing a prosperous business environment and community.  Memberships to the chamber afford the sponsorship of activities such as the National Shrimp Festival, Coastal Christmas and the sinking of the LuLu.  Accept your invitation to join today.

Wednesdays until August 7 at the Coastal Art Center have been Kids’ Art Happening Days as children ages 6-12 gather from 9:30-11:30 to learn about specific artists, create in that artist’s style and enjoy outdoor art activities.  Call 981-ARTS for your child’s reservations. Margaret Bigg’s exhibit at The Coastal Art Center has been extended through August.  You have not missed it so plan to tour The Gallery today.“

Have you seen someone flying around Terry Cove?  Flyboarding is now available in Orange Beach at San Roc Cay.  YouTube video shows a person flying like a bird as well as breaching like a whale.  This new sport is all the rage in Destin for tourist and locals alike, and now comes here to OB, too.
