BAY MINETTE, Ala. — The North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce will hold its quarterly breakfast at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday at Bay Minette City Hall with a presentation by Alabama Technology Network specialist H.C. Harry Cecil of Brewton.
According to Chamber Executive Director Margo Allen, the Chamber tries to find speakers in accordance with current efforts, and the 2011 initiative is to help schools assist businesses.
“We’re looking for what services are available in the state for post-secondary education to help with industrial training,” she said, explaining that the network does just that. “They come in and will design approaches for industrial relations. “There’s less expense and more production-training programs.”
Cecil has worked for the network since 1999 and is in charge of directing business development activities from Montgomery to Mobile and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, according to a news release.
The network’s purpose is to link two-year colleges to solve the needs of the state’s existing, manufacturing industry, according to information provided by the network’s website.
According to Allen, the free breakfast usually draws 25-30 participants.
