The North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce will bring food, music and competition to Halliday Park on Saturday, April 25, with its annual Crawfish Cook-Off set for 5 pm to 8 pm.

The family-friendly event will feature teams competing in a crawfish cooking contest alongside live music from Giles & Howell, kids’ activities, cold beer on tap and community fellowship, a news release said. Team registration remains open through April 17, with organizers encouraging businesses, families and groups of friends to enter.

Awards will be presented in several categories, including team spirit, people’s choice and spiciest crawfish.

Kristina Pittman, executive director of the North Baldwin Chamber, highlighted the event’s role in the community.

"The Crawfish Cook-Off is a beloved tradition in Bay Minette, bringing the community together for a fun and friendly competition. We’re excited to see local businesses and organizations fire up their pots and showcase their crawfish-cooking talents at this year’s event!” she said in the release.

Tickets will be available at the gate and in advance at the North Baldwin Chamber office, 301 McMeans Ave. Admission is $25 for adults, $10 for children 10 and younger, while children under 5 are admitted free. Tickets include all-you-can-eat crawfish while supplies last, a hot dog option for non-crawfish eaters and one Pepsi product. Beer wristbands will be available for purchase for attendees 21 and older.

The event is supported by sponsors including Pepsi Atmore, Mediacom, Supply One Packaging, North Baldwin Utilities, Baldwin Gulf Coast Pest Control, Cumulus Media, David’s Catfish Atmore and Quincy Compressor.
