A two-car accident backed up traffic on Greeno Road Thursday during rush hour traffic.
According to Cpl. Craig Sawyer, assistant administrator for the Fairhope Police Department, a 1999 Pontiac was pulling out from one of the shopping centers on Greeno Road and a 2000 Ford was southbound in the Greeno Road turn lane when the two vehicles collided. The incident took place about 5:17 p.m., just north of Fairhope Avenue and Greeno Road.
Sawyer said no one was injured in the accident. Several police cars came to the scene and officers directed the backed up traffic until the roadway was clear and the vehicles had been removed by a towing company.
