Gladys McKay Nelson, 88, a native and resident of Bay Minette, died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Oakwood Nursing Home.
She was a retired secretary for Auburn Extension Service. She loved her church, First Presbyterian, and worked in most of its undertakings and never said no to any task large or small. She served as president of the Pilot Club and worked hard with many of its projects.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Nelson.
Survivors include two sisters, Alyce McKay and Dorothy Stacey, both of Bay Minette; two nieces, Jane McKenney of Atlanta and Susan Darby of St. Simons, Ga.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 4 at the Bay Minette Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Anderson officiating.
Arrangements are by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
