Nancy Carolyn Rice, 78, a native of Montgomery, longtime resident of Jackson, current resident of Fairhope and member of 3 Circle Church, crossed over to be with her Lord Sunday, Sept. 14, 2014.
She was loved and is missed by her children, Robbie Chastain (Brenda) of Spanish Fort, Chuck Chastain of Arcata, Calif. and Beth Chastain of Pismo Beach, Calif.; sister, Joyce Caddell (John) of Montgomery; grandchildren, Daniel Duckett of Belfast, Ireland, Erin Maulden of Fairhope, Hannah Maulden of Bowling Green, Ohio, Kymber Maulden of Berkley, Calif., Melissa Maulden of Bowling Green, Ohio and Ben Maulden of McKinleyville, Calif.; along with many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
Nancy was a graduate of Sidney Lanier High School and the University of South Alabama, and taught several years at Jackson High School.
Later in life she worked as an editor for Northrup-Grumman in California before retiring and moving to Fairhope.
She enjoyed poetry, art and reading, and loved helping others. Above all she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and looked forward to joining him in her next life.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014 at 11 a.m.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the service time.
