Ida Mae Myers, 95, born in Stonewall, Miss., a native of Laurel, Miss., and a resident of Daphne for 13 years, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2009 in Fairhope.
She was a dedicated parishioner at Christ The King Catholic Church in Daphne. She was an active volunteer with Christ The King Catholic Church, Mercy Medical and the Literacy Council.
Survivors include four sons, George (Sue) Myers Jr. of Chatom, Mass., Grover (Rene) Myers of Winston-Salem, N.C., David (Barbara) Myers of Ludlow, Mass., Charlie (Kathy) Myers of Dickinson, Texas; two daughters, Jan Curry of Silverton, Ore., Marilyn (Bill) Ammons of Spanish Fort; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation begins at 9 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14at Christ the King Catholic Church with Father Timothy Deasy, Celebrant. Graveside services will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Laurel, Miss.
