Edith Young Myers Murphy, 82, of Atmore, died Sunday, March 7, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Claud Myers and J.Z. Murphy; son, Frelon Myers; and a daughter, Ruby Jean Myers Booker.
Survivors include a daughter, Deborah (John) Myers Bange of Perdido; two sons, Otis V. (Shirley) Myers of LaVernia, Texas, and Dewayne Myers of Stapleton; sister, Pearl Young Gladwell of Evergreen; seven grandchildren, Paul Booker of Montgomery, Brenda B. (Amos) Turner of McKenzie, Adam Myers of Live Oak, Texas, Michelle Myers of Texas, Heather McClary of Bay Minette, John Wesley Bange and Ashley Bange, both of Perdido; and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Taylor Turner.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 10 at the Elizabeth Primitive Baptist Church in McKenzie with Elders Wesley Littles and Rex Tolbert officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery.
