Crawfish season takes center stage in Baldwin County as the Mudbugs & Margaritas Crawfish Festival returns April 4-5 at Heritage Park in downtown Foley, bringing a weekend of food, live entertainment and family-friendly activities.
The two-day event invites attendees to sample a variety of crawfish dishes, including traditional crawfish boils, while enjoying a festival atmosphere designed for all ages, a news release said. Organizers say the event has grown into more than a food festival, offering attractions that appeal to families, music fans and craft enthusiasts alike.
A large children’s play zone will feature a petting zoo with both exotic and farm animals. The first 50 children to enter the kids zone each day will receive a free special treat. The festival will also include artists and crafters, snack and food vendors, contests with cash prizes, free drawings and a lineup of local, regional and national bands. Margaritas, beer, wine and mixed drinks will also be available.
“Our team thinks about our community and plans the event to give everyone a day they will always remember,” said Lisa Yeater, president of Beach Life Events, the organization producing the festival.
