Mrs. Barbara Ann South Hurst, age 75, passed away in Fairhope. Mrs. Hurst was a native of Heard County, Ga. and resident of Foley, Ala.
Mrs. Hurst was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hurst was preceded in death by her parents: father, Rudy South; mother, Pauline (Smith) McClure; and stepfather, Harry McClure. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Richard South; and the love of her life, her husband, Byron Hurst Jr.
Survivors of Mrs. Barbara Ann Hurst are her three children: daughter, Delaine Pelletier of Foley; son Byron Hurst III of Foley, Ala., son, Paul C. Hurst of Gulf Shores, Ala. She has five grandchildren, Barbara Pelletier of Foley, Taylor Hurst and Emme Hurst of Gulf Shore, Ala., Byron Hurst VI of Tennessee and Brandon Hurst also of Tennessee; and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind three siblings: one sister, Cherry Kirkland of Columbus, Ga.; two brothers, Henry South of Columbus, Ga. and one more brother, Jack Smith of Jacksonville, Fla.
There will be a graveside service in honor of Mrs. Barbara Ann Hurst held Friday, Oct. 23, 2015 beginning at 2 p.m. at Pine Rest Memorial Park Inc.
