Motive Analytics is set to host its first-ever Sustainability 2.0 Summit in southern Alabama, bringing together local businesses to explore new insights and strategies for sustainable growth.

Scheduled for Nov. 14 at the Innovation Portal in Mobile, this event marks the region's first sustainability conference geared toward equipping businesses with the tools they need to meet today's environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards.

"The Sustainability 2.0 Summit is not just a conference; it's a catalyst for change in our region," said Kai Gray, CEO at Motive Analytics.

As companies face growing pressure to disclose their environmental impact, the summit will offer a comprehensive look at how businesses can navigate emerging sustainability requirements. Featuring a keynote address by Taylor Gray, head of research and analytics at Motive Analytics, the summit will focus on how local companies can adapt to shifting market expectations on climate change and sustainable business practices. Gray, a leading figure in ESG research with a Ph.D. from Oxford University, brings over 15 years of expertise in the field.

Attendees will benefit from a range of sessions, including a panel discussion with representatives from the City of Mobile, the University of South Alabama, Southern Company and Onesubsea. These experts will discuss how Alabama businesses are meeting sustainability challenges and adjusting to regulatory shifts. A technical workshop will dive into best practices in sustainability reporting, including methods to assess greenhouse gas emissions and use platforms like CDP, EcoVadis and SBTi.

A marketing session will provide insights on effective sustainability messaging, helping businesses communicate their commitments. The summit will conclude with a networking reception sponsored by Hatch Fairhope, allowing attendees to connect with industry leaders and peers.

Motive Analytics, an ESG advisory firm affiliated with Hatch Fairhope, specializes in guiding companies through complex sustainability requirements.

"As a company, our mission is to create lasting value by delivering tailored ESG solutions that help businesses grow responsibly and strengthen their market position," Gray said. "We partner with our clients to navigate complex sustainability challenges, ensuring transparency, ethical practices and long-term success."
