Cecil Wayne Morgan, 74, born March 18, 1934, a native of Brewton and a resident of Orange Beach, died Wednesday, April 2, 2008.
He worked with Container Corporation of America in Brewton for 32 years. He was Past Master, Norris Lodge No. 302 F&AM, member of Scottish Rite and Abba Temple Shrine.
He was a member and inactive deacon of First Baptist Church of Orange Beach.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Obie and Lillie Mae Roberson Morgan of Garland in Conecuh County; and a brother, Henry Morgan of St. Petersburg, Fla.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Rita Carroll Morgan; four daughters, Twinette (Larry) McDonald of Pensacola, Fla., Annette (James) Wilson of Brewton, Cecilia (Foyel) Wayne) of Pinckard, Jayne Morgan and Dale Edgar, both of Robertsdale; a special pet, Tinkerbelle; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren; aunt, Annie Lee Stinson of Garland; sister, Elizabeth Wright of Mobile; two half-brothers, Calvin Morgan and Gary Morgan, both of Mobile; a special sister-in-law, Yvonne Carroll Vick of Orange Beach; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 4 at Pine Rest Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 5 at First Baptist Church of Orange Beach with the Rev. John Price officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Mid-South Chapter, 117A Longwood Drive SE, Huntsville, AL 35801.
