The Rev. J. Hamilton Moore, 89, a native of Baldwin County, a former resident of Daphne and a resident of Satsuma, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2007.
He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army and received his 50 year recognition ring from the Masonic Lodge. He was a United Methodist minister for over 50 years and in the area served the Robertsdale and Daphne United Methodist Churches.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Angele Moore of Satsuma; two sons, James Allen (Elaine) Moore of Satsuma and David Hamilton (Pamela) Moore of Naples, Fla.; sister, Mildred Michael of Fairhope; brother, Bill Moore of Fairhope; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug 31 at 10 a.m. at Daphne United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Marlow Methodist Cemetery.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Daphne United Methodist Church, Saraland United Methodist Church or to the Selma United Methodist Children’s Home.
