Angele Marie Moore, 87, a native of Herent, Belgium, a former resident of Daphne and a resident of Satsuma, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007.

She arrived in Mobile 61 years ago on the War Bride Ship. She was a nurse working at Mobile Infirmary for several years and finished her career as a head start nurse in Daphne until her retirement. She loved to sing and play the organ.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, the Rev. J. Hamilton Moore.

Survivors include two sons, James Allen (Elaine) Moore of Satsuma and David Hamilton (Pamela) Moore of Naples, Fla.; three brothers, Piere Vanderbeeken, Charles Vanderbeeken and Daniel Vanderbeeken, all of Belgium; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21 at Daphne United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Marlow Methodist Cemetery in Marlow.

The family requsests memorial donations be made to the Daphne United Methodist Church, 2401 Main Street, Daphne, AL 36526 or to the Selma United Methodist Children’s Home, P.O. Box 830, Selma, AL 35702.
