ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — In today’s volatine economic climate, businesses are relying more and more on social media.
That, among other topics will be covered during the Central Baldwin Chamber of Commerce’s Third Quarter Business Seminar, which will be held Wednesday, Aug. 17 at the Baldwin County Central Annex, 22251 Palmer St., Robertsdale.
The luncheon meeting will feature a panel discussion presented by the Baldwin County SCORE Chapter.
SCORE members who are experts in each of four topics will cover data and speak on their topic to five to six minutes per topic, said Gene Graham, Baldwin County Chapter chair with SCORE, followed by a question and answer session.
“We want to make sure that all topics of concern get covered,” he said.
The panel will feature Don Calcote, whose background includes banking and finance and who has also been a small business owner; Marvin Wilder, a retired CPA who also has a law degree, will speak on accounting; Ken Cooper, an information technology consultant and retired college professor who holds a Ph.D in information technology; and Mary Leseau, who has an extensive background in training and personnel matters.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Bob Oberg.
The seminar will cost $10 for Chamber members, $15 for non-members. Reservations are required by Aug. 15. Call the Chamber at 251-947-2626 to register.
