MOBILE — Baldwin County residents and visitors wanting a new thing to do within a day's drive can anticipate the completion of Mobile's Top Golf construction on the horizon.
There are plans for its grand opening set for the end of the year.
Located near the intersection of I-65 and Government Boulevard, this two-story building will soon be open to the public, offering 60 bays, advanced Toptracer ball-tracking technology and a nine-hole mini golf course beside the building.
According to David Rogers, vice president of economic development in Mobile, the construction of this facility has reached a milestone.
“You are starting to see the poles and nets that are coming out of the ground,” Rogers said. “It is really unique because you can really see this facility from far away.”
Mobile’s Top Golf establishment is set to become the fourth nationwide to showcase the most contemporary model of the facility.
This $22 million complex will also bring in 150 full- and part-time jobs. Rogers said the newly modeled Top Golf has been highly anticipated.
“I think the local community has been excited, based on everyone we have talked to,” he said. “Having these types of things in your communities is an important driver to help show that your community is progressing.”
