The Mobile Renaissance Faire will bring medieval-inspired entertainment, live performances and family-friendly activities to Robertsdale across three weekends in November.
The event is scheduled for Nov. 7-8, Nov. 14-15 and Nov. 21-22, with activities running from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day at 30569 Osprey Lane in Robertsdale.
Established in 2001 by Steve Melei, the Gulf Coast Renaissance Faire celebrates heritage while bringing the past to life through entertainment, interactive attractions and opportunities for visitors to experience historical traditions. Organizers encourage attendees to dress in costume to help forge new bonds between the past and present.
Visitors can watch full armor jousting, swordfighters, jesters, jugglers and firebreathers, along with musical minstrels, Gypsy and exotic belly dancers, falconry demonstrations and magic performances. The faire will also feature pirates, conquistadors, Wild West gunslingers and Civil War demonstrations.
Additional attractions include exotic birds, a petting zoo, games, rides, food and drinks. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet Their Majesties and encounter a variety of colorful characters throughout the event.
Organizers describe the faire as an outdoor experience that offers fresh air, exercise and entertainment for all ages. The event will take place rain or shine. Pets are not allowed.
Admission is $20 for adults $10 for children, with children 4 and younger admitted free. Bundles and discounts are available on the website
