FAIRHOPE — First Baptist Church of Fairhope will host Miss PattyCake, “America’s Favorite Gold-Selling Pre-School Artist,” in concert on Saturday, Sept. 22. A snack supper will be served at 5 p.m., and the one-hour concert will begin at 6.

Miss PattyCake is a brightly costumed, enthusiastic character played by veteran singer and mother of two, Jean Thomason, who lived in Mobile when she started Miss PattyCake. The character of Miss PattyCake was created after Jean and a friend realized there was a need for pre-school music that teaches, worships and encourages parent-child interaction.

Miss PattyCake is an ambassador of God’s love throughout the world, teaching children that no matter where they live, no matter what they are doing or how small they are, God is watching over them. She has traveled, singing to parents with their little ones for 12 years, sold more than 450,000 videos (produced by the Mobile-based Integrity Music’s “Just For Kids” label) and was a Dove Award nominee. She has also preformed for numerous Women of Faith Conferences and conferences for children’s pastors.

There will be a suggested $5 donation at the door. Call the church office (928-8685) for reservations and directions.
