Millbrook man arrested in Gulf Shores on sexual abuse charges

Posted

Gulf Shores police arrested an Alabama man visiting the area for a concert on multiple sexual abuse charges following a hotel disturbance.

According to Gulf Shores Police Department Public Information Officer Carl Wittstruck, officers responded to a call at a hotel in the 1700 block of Gulf Shores Parkway about 1:30 a.m. July 3, where they met with four people, including an adult man, two adult females and a juvenile.

One of the women reportedly told officers she had to “resist forcible sexual advances by a member of her family,” Wittstruck wrote in a news release. Todd Sterlin Trolinger Jr., of Millbrook, was arrested and charged with three counts of first-degree sexual abuse. The 37-year-old is being held at the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office as of Thursday morning, July 9.

The police department requests anyone with information related to the Gulf Shores investigation, which the local agency is parting with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency on, to call (251) 968-2431 or email gspdpio@gulfshoresal.gov. They ask that anyone with information regarding similar incidents involving the suspect occurring outside of Gulf Shores to contact their local law enforcement agency.
