Mildred Elizabeth Bertagnolli, 87, of Loxley, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016.
Mrs. Bertagnolli was a founding and longtime member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She was the owner/operator of the Spinning Wheel Restaurant in Loxley where she was known for her fried chicken and foot-long chili dogs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis J. Bertagnolli; parents, William and Elizabeth Browning Driskell; and her five brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her five children, Caren Davis (Tommy), Allen Bertagnolli (Sharon), Rose Clark (T.C.), Galen Bertagnolli and Patricia Hudson (Thomas). Mrs. Bertagnolli is known affectionately as “Granny” to her 10 grandchildren, Dena Caldwell (Mike), Kevin Wilson (Lisa), Vicky Bertagnolli Heller (Chad Heller), Andrea Bertagnolli Gronewold (Brian), Justin Wren (Jamie), Kristin Henson (David), Stephen Wren (Maria), Sylvia Clark, Elizabeth Johnson (Eric), Brandon Hudson (Ainsley); and 13 great-grandchildren, Sarah Catherine Caldwell, Fairby Caldwell, Abby Wren, Avery Wren, Elaina Henson, Joseph Henson, Sarah Henson, James Barrett Wilson, Sebastian Wren, Cheyenne Johnson, Sage Johnson, Aralyn Hudson and Ambry Hudson. Mrs. Bertagnolli is loved by extended family, Shaw-fin Bertagnolli and Philip Marino, many in-laws, family and friends too numerous to list, but not forgotten.
A funeral mass will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Robertsdale.
Interment will be held in Belforest Catholic Cemetery in Daphne.
A visitation will be held one hour prior to mass at the church.
