Mildred Brown Gatlin, 81, a native of Waynesboro, Miss., and resident of Foley, died Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at a local hospital Mrs. Gatlin is preceded in death by her husband, John Shelby Gatlin Sr. She is survived by four sons, John Gatlin (Pam), of Foley, Otis Gatlin (Leora), of Foley, David Gatlin (Dee), of Foley, James Gatlin, of Elberta; daughter, Vickie Young (Steve), of Elberta; brother, Donald Ray Brown (Erma Ruth), of Foley; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Feb. 23, 2012, from the Chapel of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro, Miss., with the Revs. Phillip Gandy and Randy McLeod officiating. Interment was at Serenity Gardens Cemetery, Waynesboro, Miss.
