Cayne Michelle Miceli, a native of Gulf Shores and resident of New Orleans died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009.

She graduated second in her class from Foley High School in 1983. She attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fla., on a full scholarship. She also attended PJC in Pensacola, Fla., and the University of New Orleans in New Orleans.

She was a beautiful, intelligent, talented woman who touched many lives. She was acommunity activist concerned with the environment and the rebuilding of New Orleans. She loved music and always found the beauty in her surroundings. She was a lovely, delicate flower who will live forever in the hearts of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Andy and Jeannie Miceli of Gulf Shores, Al and Earl and Winnie Cain of Fairhope.

Survivors include her mother, Elouise Miceli of Fairhope; father, Mike (Claudia) Miceli of Gulf Shores; two sisters, Cristy (Dallas) Richmond of Fairhope and Sophia (Chris) Abbott of Woodbury, Minn.; nieces and nephew, Caroline Richmond, Julia Richmond, Shelby Richmond and Dallas Richmond II.

She was loved by many aunts, uncles and cousins and will be dearly missed by countless friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24 at Our Lady of the Gulf Church in Gulf Shores. There will also be memorial services in Pensacola and New Orleans that will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are by Pine Rest Funeral Home Inc., Foley.
